Q.What is ADSL?
A.High-speed, low-cost broadband access mechanism using telephone lines - it carries data, voice and internet traffic. ADSL provides you with data transmissions to your PC at significantly higher speeds than traditional dial-up.

Q.What is the difference between Megaserve’s ‘ADSL Uncapped’ and Telkom’s offering?
A.Telkom places a limit on your monthly download access i.e. once you have surpassed the 3 Gig total, you receive the slow connection of a normal dial-up.
We offer users both local and international bandwidth UNCAPPED. This means that there is no limit on the amount of information
that can be downloaded on a monthly basis.
Megaserve's solution offers more than just Internet Access: we include a communication server with mail, firewalling and monthly security maintenance.

Q. Who uses our ADSL Uncapped solution?
A.Megaserve's ADSL solution is aimed at small, medium & large corporations. Megaserve has included the necessary hardware and software to facilitate quick and efficient communication for business purposes.

Q. What Capital Expenditure is involved?
A.We provide the VPN server (with FREE mail & file server) at no cost. You will, however, be required to purchase an ADSL router (which we supply at R999 ex VAT).

Q.Is the bandwidth guaranteed?
A.We cannot guarantee internet traffic.

Q.What ports are prioritized on our uncapped service?
A.All ports are open by default and there is no prioritization.

Q.What do we include in ADSL support?
A.Megaserve remotely updates your VPN firewall and maintains the Mail Server and all security for R300 per month, excluded in your monthly fees.
